- Master’s Programs - Educational Objectives
The program emphasizes the cultivation of fundamental research skills, aiming to enable students to identify opportunities and challenges in business intelligence and IT application within enterprises. It also focuses on developing the practical ability to construct IT-based solutions. The curriculum is designed to equip master’s students with a solid understanding of the applications of artificial intelligence and information technology in business settings. Students are further trained to effectively apply acquired technical skills and validated theoretical knowledge to foster digital innovation and advancements in business management, ultimately helping enterprises enhance their value chains and build competitive advantages. The program aims to cultivate mid- to high-level professionals who possess both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in AI and business applications.
- Undergraduate Division - Educational Objectives
In response to the rapid advancements in information technology and the ever-changing corporate environment, the division emphasizes a balanced integration of theory and practice. It trains students to develop information systems and to integrate information technology with information management, aiming to cultivate mid- to high-level professionals in information management who are well-versed in both theoretical foundations and practical application. The educational objectives are as follows:
1. Following the progression from “generalist” to “specialist,” the division not only imparts professional knowledge in IT and management but also fosters a wide range of job-related competencies.
2. It builds interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, in line with the development, application, and integration of IT, to cultivate well-rounded professionals.
3. It emphasizes the integration of theory and practice by strengthening students’ abilities to conduct case studies and analyze information systems.
4. It places importance on foreign language skills, practical business management training, and interpersonal communication.
5. It nurtures students’ literacy in the humanities, society and the arts.
- Junior College Division - Educational Objectives
This division prioritizes the acquisition of basic management knowledge and foundational IT skills, offering a diverse range of courses to help students explore their future career paths. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training to ensure students gain proficiency in software design and operation. The curriculum also cultivates their ability to analyze and implement information systems, aiming to develop foundational to intermediate-level professionals in information management.
Backed by the university’s strong tradition in business education, the department designs its curriculum around core business knowledge, integrating information technology and management science with a focus on the dual themes of “business intelligence” and “business informatization.” These features are reflected in the department’s capstone projects, which reinforce students’ integrative skills and practical experience. The department’s consistent record of winning first place in national IT competitions is a testament to its success. Additionally, the department incentivizes students to participate in certification exams by offering scholarships and awards, thereby helping students enhance their competitiveness.
